A man has been charged following an investigation into the alleged historic sexual abuse of kids within the state’s Hawkesbury area through the Eighties. Detectives attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command established Strike Force Twill in October 2022, following numerous reports of alleged youngster intercourse abuse that occurred at a holiday park in Wisemans Ferry. Police have been advised between the years 1982 and 1987, a resident of a vacation park allegedly sexually assaulted a quantity of young boys. Following intensive inquiries, investigators arrested a 60-year-old man in Wisemans Ferry, about 9am Thursday (20 July 2023). Man charged following investigation into historical sexual abuse offences was charged with 22 child sexual assault offences and one count of common assault. He was refused bail and appeared at Penrith Local Court on Friday (21 July 2023), to reappear on the identical court on Friday 29 September 2023. As inquiries continue, police are interesting for anybody who could possibly assist detectives, including anybody who holidayed within the space at the moment and witnessed suspicious behaviour.
